Mortal Instruments: Splat Hair Color Prize Pack giveaway!

Yes, I read YA Fiction.  I ain’t ashamed.  Because most of the time, that stuff is amazing.  Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Divergent, The Infernal Devices…and that’s just a sampling of what’s come around lately.  (Don’t get me started on classics like Lord of the Flies, Earthsea and The Hobbit.  Yes, The Hobbit was considered a book for the young’uns.)  Some of these have been made into films, some haven’t.  Some are on the way to you.  Which brings me to another series that’s pretty darn tasty, The Mortal Instruments.

What’s this particular tale about?  Oh, I’ve got you.  Here’s the synopsis of the first book, and the movie, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones:

Set in contemporary New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray (Lily Collins), discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother (Lena Headey), Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures.  Based on the worldwide best-selling book series.

I’ve read this novel and let’s just say there ain’t no lovestruck, happy vamps and werewolves around these particular parts.  City of Bones stars Lily Collins (Mirror, Mirror), Jamie Campbell Bower (The Twilight Saga), Robert Sheehan (Misfits), Kevin Zegers (Gossip Girl), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Kevin Durand (Lost), Aidan Turner(UK’s Being Human), among many more.  Nice, right?  Absolutely.

So, wanna head to the theater and catch a show, for free?  This ain’t no screening invite, it’s a “you get free tickets to the movies” contest.  Plus there’s more….

SplatMortalGiveaway

Not only will 5 lucky winners get a golden ticket an admit two pass to trade in for tickets (which can be used any time during the film’s theatrical release, Monday through Thursday excluding holidays)  and a prize pack from Splat!  Whazzat?  I’ll tell you.

Splat is hair color.  Permanent?  Sure.  But they have other cool semi-permanent and non-permanent stuff too.  I’m kinda loving the hair chalk; I’m just the kinda gal who appreciates no commitment when it comes to hair styles.  (That, and I’ll never get over the great Sun In Debacle of ’99.)  They’ve teamed up with The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, which is a good thing, because that means we can expect some pretty nifty hair to marvel at.  I like marveling at hair.  And also makeup, but that’s another story for another time.

Oh and also this; THEY HAVE GLOW-IN-THE-DARK COLORS.  Yeah, that’s right.  So what I’m saying is winners-to-be?  I’m already jealous.  Because…take it away, Splat-tastic PR folks!

Splat Rebellious Colors – The Possibilities are Endless!  Splat is the official hair color partner of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.  Splat semi-permanent hair color lasts up to 6 weeks.  Each gift pack includes six, hot rebellious shades.

So how to you score a prize pack for yourself?  Easy.  Just send me an e-mail with the subject matter “Glow In The Dark Hair Is Awesomewith your mailing address and answer me this:

In a world where good and evil fight a whole lot, who would you rather be: a Shadowhunter, a Demon, a Vampire, a Werewolf, or…?

There are no wrong answers y’all.  I’ll just pick 5 folks out at random (NOTE: I will be easily swayed by a groovy answer, so entertain me to get on my easily-gotten good side) and the wonderful folks from PR Wonderland will send a pack and a pass your way!

Since The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones opens on the 22nd, this contest will close at 5:00pm Wednesday the 21st.

GOOD LUCK, everyone!
