It’s no secret that I can’t wait ’til The Avengers opens next year. So when Marvel sent us the latest tidbit from their press kit, I had to share. Check out these new kickass banners…hope you think they’re as cool as I do, because you’ll see ’em again. And again. And again.
So you’ve probably seen the trailer and posters for Kristen Stewart’s Snow White and the Huntsman that came out just before Breaking Dawn pt 1 opened this Friday. But did you know there’s another Snow White story knocking around? It’s called Mirror Mirror, and it’s a lighter touch than Huntsman‘s serious tale. And it’s good to see that there’s a fun romp coming out March 2012 (Huntsman is slated for a summer 2012 release.)
This just in from Disney studios: the latest spoof posters for The Muppets. And gotta say, they’re pretty awesome.
Think of it this way, if you only have space on your wall for one movie poster and you’ve been trying to decide between Twilight & The Muppets? No longer a problem.

Let’s face it; short films are awesome, but we rarely get to see them outside of bits during the Oscars (and if you’re lucky, at the AFI during their pre-Oscar shorts fest). But sometimes, and I say sometimes, we’ll get a peek at a short film that sounds so awesome I’ve gotta share. This Saturday at this year’s Screamfest LA — the horror movie fest any self-respecting genre geek slavers over — they’ll be showing the short Singularity. You wanna know more about it? Of course you do.
Hey all you Twihards! For those of you not getting your geek on at NYCC2011, there’s a new treat in the Twilight universe. The Twilight Time Capsule is an interactive Web site that allows fans to share their experiences, videos and general squee with fellow fans.
Baltimore Poe fans got a real treat on this year’s anniversary of Edgar Allan Poe’s death; actor Luke Evans and director James McTeigue from the film The Raven came to town to honor the scribe by laying a wreath at Poe’s graveside. They also took the time out of their incredibly busy schedules (Luke Evans is shooting The Hobbit, and James McTeigue is in pre-production on his next film, Message from the King) to sit down and answer a few questions.
So now we all know what Musketeers films James really enjoys, and where to find Luke when he’s not filming (hint: you can get in for a song….)
