Here’s the official press release:

BALTIMORE, April 26, 2012 – US Lacrosse has announced that the organization, in conjunction with the US Lacrosse Greater Baltimore chapter and Moe’s Southwest Grill, will host a premiere event for the upcoming lacrosse feature film “Crooked Arrows,” Thurs., May 10 on the campus of Goucher College.

Set to be released to select theaters May 18 and nationwide June 1, “Crooked Arrows” is lacrosse’s first mainstream feature film and the Native American community’s first family motion picture. The film follows a Native American lacrosse team’s unlikely journey to a prep school lacrosse league championship game. Created in the spirit of classic underdog sports movies like “Hoosiers” and “The Mighty Ducks,” the “Crooked Arrows” cast is led by Brandon Routh (“Superman Returns”), who plays Coach Joe Logan, and a team of real-life current and former Iroquois lacrosse players.

The evening will include a red carpet entrance, autograph signings, and the approximately 90-minute movie screening. The “Crooked Arrows” cast and crew will be also available for media interviews at the event.

“We are excited to host the celebration of a valuable partnership between the sport’s first mainstream feature film and its national governing body,” said US Lacrosse President & CEO Steve Stenersen.  “We believe lacrosse players and fans of all ages will appreciate the film’s commitment to honor ‘The Creator’s Game’ through an authentic and compelling representation of America’s fastest-growing sport.”
