So you’ve probably seen the trailer and posters for Kristen Stewart’s Snow White and the Huntsman that came out just before Breaking Dawn pt 1 opened this Friday.  But did you know there’s another Snow White story knocking around?  It’s called Mirror Mirror, and it’s a lighter touch than Huntsman‘s serious tale.  And it’s good to see that there’s a fun romp coming out March 2012 (Huntsman is slated for a summer 2012 release.)

This is definitely a more fairy-tale film, as opposed to Huntsman‘s hack-n-slash drama.  I absolutely adore the cinematography and set design in this trailer.  I just wish I could get more of a feel for Lily Collins’ Snow White, since this trailer focuses on Roberts’ queen.  (Not that that’s a bad thing; I have a feeling Julia will be stealing every scene she’s in with her re-imagining of Snow’s nemesis.)

Julia Roberts and Nathan Lane look like they’ve got amazing chemistry as the Evil Queen and her lackey.  And Armie Hammer as the prince seems equally keen on playing this movie for campy fun.  One small problem.  WHERE IS MY SEAN BEAN???  Seriously folks; you can’t tease me with the knowledge that he’s in this and not show him in the trailer.  That’s not cricket.   Fine, I’ll stop whining and watch the trailer again.

So, what do you think?  Two too many Snow White films for your taste?  Or can they both live Happily Ever After at the box office?
